Reef Life Survey

Rick Stuart-Smith, a leading marine scientist working at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) approached after their original site build (2 years in the making) had stalled.

the purpose of the site is to showcase the great work that Reef Life Survey (RLS) are doing raising awareness of the changing conditions of our marine life around the world.  The data collected by Rick and his colleagues is now seen as the best of its kind and is often referred to in scientific publications as evidence of climate change.

It helped that Rick had a solid idea for the look and feel of the site.  This allowed us to fast track development of the new site and get it up and running quickly.  In addition to this there were several meetings with Rick and his team as we worked through technical difficulties and general differences on the finer points.  Training was provided to key staff so they could add new stories at their leisure.  This gives the team a strong connection with the site while reducing their dependency on third party vendors.

Work on the site has now moved into the next phase which will see the development of a searchable species database.
